Erasmus+ Treviso 4d

Our class had the opportunity to visit Italy, as we took part in a student exchange with “Istituto Comprensivo I Martini” in Treviso. We are proud to be the first middle-school class that got the chance to represent our school in the Erasmus+ program.
On the first day  we travelled to Venice. Our group started with a tour of the beautiful city, where we had time to appreciate the colourful buildings, canals and many more aspects. During the following days, we got to know our partner school by participating in various lessons, such as biology, or Italian, and robotics.
In addition, we listened to their great orchestra and choir, performing a song from “Les choristes” and singing “Why can’t we be friends” together. We also expressed ideas and creativity by creating art pieces like carnival masks and posters on the subject of margins. This allowed our class to get to know the other students and form new friendships. Even though it was hard to understand each other at times, we made communication possible.
Our class also visited the Peggy Guggenheim museum and saw some famous paintings which are part of her collection, such as the “Empire of Light”. One afternoon we were invited by the Benetton company, where we found out interesting facts about the history of the company, the contentious advertising campaigns by Oliviero Toscani and their engagement in formula 1. At the end, we could even walk their catwalk!
We can speak for the entire class when we say that all of us left Italy cheerfully, having learned a lot about the culture and history of Treviso and Venice!
